How to Use This Calculator

1
What counts as a standard drink?
A standard drink in the US contains 14 grams (0.6 fl oz) of pure alcohol. That's: 12 oz regular beer (5% ABV), 5 oz wine (12% ABV), or 1.5 oz distilled spirits (40% ABV). Enter the actual size and ABV of what you drank for the most accurate estimate.
2
Enter your drinks and timing
Enter the number of drinks, the size of each drink, and its ABV. The calculator assumes all drinks were consumed within a typical drinking session, not spread across the full elapsed time.
3
Understand the result
At 0.08% BAC you are legally impaired for driving in all US states. The calculator estimates roughly 0.015% per hour of alcohol elimination. Individual metabolism varies — never drive based solely on a calculator estimate.
